What We’ll Do Together
- Raise LOTS of Money: We’ll not just build on Tina’s legacy, but we’ll capitalize on it! 2022 delivered the best midterm results for Democrats in 40 years—which means we can and must raise an extraordinary amount of capital to hold every Democratic seat in Washington state.
- Reinvent Campaigns (again): In 2022, Democrats won by speaking with our neighbors. In 2024, with social media’s shifting landscape, we have both no choice and an incredible opportunity to reinvent how campaigns allocate their resources, spread their messages, and make our field operations more inclusive and accessible. What 2024 will look like is yet to be determined, but we know that in Washington our elections will be won knocking on our neighbors doors & making sure that our friends, neighbors & communities vote!
- Open Source Our Party: In the last six years, Washington State Democrats have become national leaders in developing new ways to organize and mobilize our communities that we’ve exported to our friends in Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio. In the coming decade, we’ll keep innovating new organizing techniques while also providing tools, resources, and processes to help our local party organizations become even more effective at winning elections.
- Prioritize Safety, Security & Privacy for Our Party Members: With so many growing risks to trust and safety–online and offline–we will provide tools, resources, and trainings to protect and support our party members (and their personal information).
- Build the Bench: There are no off years in organizing. Odd years give us the opportunity to get progressive community members into every level of government to not only shape local offices, but also to build for the future. Like our beloved Senate Pro Tem Patty Murray, this year’s school board member could be our next Senator!
- Elevate & Expand Our Next Generation: Continue and advance our training of and support for the next generation of Washington Democratic candidates, as well as building a culture to cultivate the engagement of our next generation of young voters.
- Protect Our Freedoms While Defeating Fascism: Washington Democrats won in every corner of the state in the 2022 midterm elections by refusing to compromise on our core values and standing up to the extremists who want to control our bodies and our elections without our consent.
- Model a Culture of Kindness, Transparency & Accountability: Our democracy depends on it!
